Noob Alliance player wins a prizepool of Rs. 1 million

Singer Esports Premier League is currently the largest PUBG Mobile tournament in Sri Lanka. It was organized by the Gamer.LK, an organization known to everyone who knows about Esports in Sri Lanka. There was a huge prize pool of one million rupees in this tournament with more than 2000 players registering.

 

There was a special format for this particular tournament.

 

⁍ Phase 1 – Open Qualifier

⁍ Phase 2 – Team Auctions

⁍ Phase 3 – Play-offs

⁍ Phase 4 – Super Weekend & Grand finals

 

⁍ Phase 1 – Open Qualifier

Anyone who plays PUBG Mobile in Sri Lanka can register individually for qualifiers and compete in solo qualifiers.

 

⁍ Phase 2 – Team Auctions

In this phase, the top players from the qualifiers are auctioned off to the team managers’ teams. This auction lasted for 3 days.

 

⁍ Phase 3 – Play-offs

All teams play in the play-off. From there, only 9 selected teams will go to the next phase.

 

⁍ Phase 4 – Super Weekend & Grand finals

This is the final phase. This phase ranks the teams and the champions can win a million-rupees prize pool.

 

Famous Sri Lankan cricketers Russell Arnold, Chaminda Vaas, Sanath Jayasuriya, TM Dilshan, Angelo Mathews, and Lasith Malinga were the mentors of this tournament.

Jay was able to be crowned the champion of the previous edition of Esports Premier League in 2020. Due to that and his other achievements, Jay was one of the players who was auctioned for the highest amounts in the auction phase.

 

The mentor was Sanath Jayasuriya, one of the most famous cricketers we all know.

 

On the first day of the Super weekend, the Southern Sharks team managed to get a total of 26 kills and 59 points. That brought their total to 85 points. In the grand finals, they managed to score 44 kills and 107 points. Jay along with his team has been able to secure 4 chicken dinners getting a total of 151 points and was able to secure the Esports Premier League championship.

 

Jay, who played for the Northern Rangers team in the Esports Premier League in 2020, also won the championship that year, becoming the first player to win the championship twice in a row.
